Elise indoors with hats
We have been trying to teach her hats stay on your head... She just likes to take them off! She has however, learned where they go and she is trying to learn how to put them on correctly.
Looks like she is racing!
I hate to say it, but this is my favorite of the hat pictures. The hat is inside out and sideways. She almost looks gangster!

Firewood
This is what it looked like before I started in on it again today, and I still have about 2 hours of splitting now that I'm done for today.It's almost done, taken me about 3-4 days of splitting wood for ~2 hours each, but I've got right under 2 cords for the winter

This is why we own a cat
This morning was a good example of why you should keep an experienced mouser in the family, and Charlie is a perfect example.
Now, I'm not sure if this particular gift was in the house to begin with, judging by its size I rather doubt it, but I do know that other animals have made their way in, particularly a few lizards, which were my presents earlier this week.
Fact is, I can count on Charlie to do his job at night, and I could not elaborate on the hundreds of things I know were in the house that he took down like cockroaches, spiders, and other assundry creatures.
I woke up, and didn't even notice this because of the usual smattering of toys until I turned the light on.
